Severe Weather Closing Procedures

If it is 65 degrees or warmer at noon the pools will open.

At 3 pm, conditions will be re-evaluated. If the temperature remains at 70 degrees or under and there are less than 15 people at the pool, it will close for the remainder of the day.

If the temperature is 71 degrees or above, the pool will remain open.

If lightning is seen and/or thunder is heard, the pool will be cleared and not reopened until 30 minutes after the last lightning has been sighted or thunder heard.

All patrons must be cleared completely off of the pool deck.  After 60 minutes of the pool being cleared because of the weather, the facility will close for the day only with permission to close from the Aquatics Director.

The pool will be closed if a Tornado Warning or Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been posted by the National Weather Service.
