Feel like getting a little dirty? Swoop in to Ponca State Park on Saturday, September 28 for the Dirty Bird Mud Run. And bring the whole flock! The event will feature a 5K obstacle course for ages 13 and up and a family-friendly course for ages 5 and up.
The Dirty Bird Mud Run offers one of the most unique, beautiful and fun courses found anywhere in the country; it is the only mud run taking place in a state park in Nebraska.
Fifteen challenging obstacles set along a 5K route up and down the banks of the muddy Missouri River await all mud-lovers, from the toughest old birds and hardcore hawks to those fresh out of the nest. You’ll be sure to ruffle some feathers trekking over the Eagle’s Perch, across the Albatross and jumping into the Bird Bath.
Don’t just wing it; register now for the Early Bird discount. Flights begin at 11:00 AM. Registration includes a Dirty Bird t-shirt, Ponca State Park pass, goodie bag and more! Plus, live music from Trip Modus.
Interested in volunteering? We are seeking “Bird Watchers” to help protect the nest. E-mail Molly Hewitt to find out about ways to help.
