Choose to Lose
Choose to lose is a program designed to empower the participants to make healthier choices. Through accountability and support of the certified Wellness Coaches, the participants are able to adopt and maintain healthier lifestyle choices.
Choose to Lose will help you achieve healthy lifestyle behavior changes in a small group classroom and gym-based setting. The program meets twice a week for 12 weeks! It also includes 2 one-on-one nutrition consultations and pre/post body composition assessments.
The goals of the YMCA’s Choose to Lose Program are to decrease overall body weight, increase physical activity, and gain knowledge about the value of nutrition. The purpose of these goals are to help decrease health risks and improving the overall quality of life. These goals are achieved by focusing on behavioral modification around healthy eating, physical activity, and mindfulness.
