New Front Desk ‘Office Hours’ Announced

Working Hard to Serve You Better

As a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening community, we constantly seek ways to stretch resources even further to serve more while still providing great service. And sometimes in that effort we stretch ourselves a little too thin, making it difficult to provide the level of service you deserve.

Member Services has for years attempted to provide ALL services at all times, which is a tough task for part-time staff who’s fundamental goal is to welcome members and guests and provide you with the essentials to get the most of your time while in the facility. In order to allow front desk to do what they do best, while at the same time providing outstanding administrative support when you need more than just being checked in or a towel, we will be establishing new “office hours” for the Y.

The operating hours you have come to expect and depend on will NOT change. But we will now provide greater administrative support between 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday through Friday AND 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Saturday. This will provide more staff with greater expertise to help with billing questions, registration questions, financial assistance, refunds and more; as well as connecting you with other Y staff when you need more information about programs and wellness.

During operating hours, front desk staff will continue to provide help with new memberships and basic membership changes, conduct facility tours and connect you with programs and services, as well as the friendly, welcoming faces you have come to expect. But some of the uncommon requests you have, in the past, counted on us to answer any time the facility is open may not be instantly resolved.

We believe this change, effective July 5, 2016, will improve your Y experience as you pursue greater wellbeing and we appreciate your feedback as we work to serve you better.
