At the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA, we believe in providing a safe environment to the members and community. We provide trainings through ASHI (American Safety and Health Institute) and offer CPR & First Aid certification classes two times per month. We’ll teach you lifesaving skills such as rescue breathing, the skills to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Upon successful completion, you will receive a two year certification.
Class times- Saturday 8:00 – 10:00 AM or Wednesday 5:30 – 7:30 PM.

Registration is required eight days prior to class date. Must pay at time of registration.
After registering and paying for a course, a link (digital key) will be e-mailed to participants regarding the online training that must be completed prior to in-classroom training. This portion of training must be completed at least two days prior to the date of the class in order to attend.
If online work not completed by deadline, participants will need to reschedule and attend another class.
In-classroom training takes place at the Y; it will cover skills demonstration and testing.
