Siouxland Youth First Ever to Compete in World’s Largest International Competition

A Siouxland soccer team has begun preparations to become the first Siouxland soccer team to ever participate in not one, but two, international youth soccer tournaments in 2016 – including the world’s largest. Officials from the BSX Soccer Academy, the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA and the team will be on hand to officially announce tournament details, introduce the team and discuss efforts to help get the team to the tournaments next summer.

The press conference will be held at the Dible Soccer Complex in South Sioux City, at 3:30 PM Monday, October 26. In addition to organization officials, team members (including students from Bishop Heelan, East High, North High and South Sioux City), will be on hand.

For more information about the press conference, contact Chris DeRoin at cderoin@nwsymca.org or 402-404-8439.

Please note: In case of inclement weather, the press conference will be held at the Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA (601 Riverview Drive, South Sioux City).
