THE ENTHUSIASM TO KEEP GOING
Sam, a long-time Delay the Disease participant, came to class one day with great news.
During a recent doctor’s visit, he noticed more flexibility in his gait. The check-up was routine and the potential progression of Parkinson’s symptoms are typically hard to notice, but all Sam’s test numbers improved.
He credits Delay the Disease’s supportive and fun group atmosphere giving him the incentive to keep fighting Parkinson’s and its chronic, debilitating effects.
“They keep the enthusiasm going and push me,” Sam said.
Physically, he’s remained stable thanks to a routine and exercises that he learned at the Y!
