To Our Valued Members,

Kelli Horton, Membership Director

We wanted to reach out to you and do our very best to answer any questions you might have about the closure of our Y facility due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we are facing together, as a community. We encourage you to visit our Facebook page to see the most up-to-date information or give us a call between the hours of 10am-4pm, Monday through Friday.

Your YMCA Membership
As a non-profit charitable organization, we ask you to join us in our current efforts to strengthen our community by continuing to keep your membership active. Your support will allow us to fully focus on serving our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, even in the midst of uncertainty. Should you choose to do so, know this…we are EXTREMELY grateful for your generous support!  Currently, we are working on a number of initiatives to help our community during this tough time.

Here are just a few:

– Child Care: for Medical professionals, First Responders and any workforce essential to the community (for example those working in grocery stores, hospitals, clinics, police, firefighters, etc.)

– FREE Virtual Group Exercise for you to remain healthy

– Virtual Youth Activities to do at home

– Virtual Youth Sports – Skill and Agility Drills

– STEM Activities for kids

– Family Activities

– Virtual Active Older Adult Exercise

– Personal Workouts

– Tyson & Foodbank of Siouxland Protein Truck – FREE Meat and Toilet Paper while supplies last

And MORE to come!

Although we need your support by staying an active member in order to fulfill these needs, we also understand times are tough for everyone; so, if requested, members may place their membership on hold.  Just call the YMCA at 402-404-8439 during the hours of 10am-4pm Monday through Friday and one of our staff will be able to assist you.

We appreciate your support and understanding as we navigate through these challenging days. The Norm Waitt Sr. YMCA and our staff are very blessed by our members and the community we serve, especially those of you who give back right alongside of us.  Thank you for showing us grace and understanding through an unprecedented situation… for joining us as we help our community in ways we’ve never done before; you have our sincere gratitude. We absolutely cannot wait to re-open our doors and have our Y family back together in our beautiful facility!

Blessings to you all and Stay Well,

Kelli Horton
